Each of the characters in this book, as fantastical as they are, draws from existing animals or natural phenomena: a nudibranch, a houndshark, an Arctic tern, and a sundog. Visual art has long been a passion of mine, and I chose to tell my story with as few words as possible as a challenge to myself.
