Folio volume of the National Journal, March 10th, 1825 Volume II, No. 173 - December 30, 1826 Vol. IV, No. 567. (with a few gaps.)  Bound in 19th century leather spine over marbled boards.  Some tanning to pages, discoloration.  The National Journal was the work of Peter Force, the noted archivist.  The paper was a prominent pro-Whig newspaper that supported John Quincy Adams.  It was one of two national newspaper of its day. It ran articles in notable opposition to Andrew Jackson.
