Folios, 50 cm.  Both volumes lacking spine cloth, thus bindings poor.  Internally in good condition, heavily illustrated with 200 plates. <br> "Facsimile Reproductions of the Choicest Examples - from the works of Chippendale, Adam, Richardson, Hepplewhite, Sheraton, Pergolesi and others."  Includes illustrations of chairs, tables, cabinets, mirrors, chimneypieces, friezes and carvings reproduced from the originals, often on a larger scale.  Early facsimiles of English furniture pattern books (of 1794) and an instance of a dealer, for Aldam Heaton had his own firm, increasing public interest in his stock by a scholarly publication on it.
