Warhol and his mother, Julia Warhola, created these works when they were sharing a small apartment together, prior to Warhol's fame. Warhol illustrated 25 Cats and Warhola did the calligraphy; Warhol's friend Charles Lisanby supplied the text. Holy Cats was written and illustrated entirely by Warhola.
