Julius Robert Oppenheimer (1904-1967) was the wartime head of the Los Alamos Laboratory and is among those credited as "the father of the atomic bomb" for their role in the Manhattan Project. Oppenheimer's achievements in physics included the Born-Oppenheimer approximation for molecular wave functions, the Oppenheimer-Phillips process in nuclear fusion, work on the theory of electrons and positrons, and the first prediction of quantum tunneling. This is an oversized or heavy book, which requires additional postage for international delivery outside the US.
