Rebacked with modern calf spine.  Gilt ruled.  Marbled end pages and edges.  Lithographic frontispiece, additional vignette title, one map, two tinted lithographic plates, one full page wood engraved illustration, and 11 wood engraved illustrations in text. XVI, 408 p.  Presentation copy, given to Mr. Joseph Eld in 1847 for proficiency in clinical medicine.
