July 23, 1836 - June 23, 1838; v.17 June 29, 1839 - June 30, 1840 (A Classification of Kisses, the Queens Wedding, News from Constantinople, Washington Irving). Early bookplate of Joshua B. Williams. The New York Mirror had a wealth of contemporary literary and poetry. Edgar Allen Poe was one of the notable contributors. It also featured musical verse and news of the day.
