Small quarto, 19 cm. Contemporary calf, ruled in blind. Housed in a handsome red cloth slipcase with red leather spine label. [6], 340, [42] pages (lacking final blank). Rubbing. Reading scholar (elderly bearded man) engraved book plate of Albert Parsons Sachs.  Sachs was a chemist from Columbia University and science editor of the New York World.
