Reading scholar (elderly bearded man) engraved book plate of Albert Parsons Sachs.  Sachs was a chemist from Columbia University and science editor of the New York World. Sachs was also a noted book collector. Some of his collection was sold in November 1932 in Sale Number 27 by Ritter-Hopkins Galleries in New York City. Essays
