Rear board missing original verso, liner page. xv, [13]-378 pages.  14 wood-engraved plates and numerous other text illustrations.  Originally published in 1852, this is a later stereotype edition. The designs show the influence of the Picturesque and most are in the style created by Downing and known as the Bracketed Mode with board and batten walls, barge boards, ample verandahs, and moulded chimney pots.
