Formey was the son of French Huguenot refugees who took refuge in Germany.  Fromey wrote on philosophy and Christianity.  Book plates of William R. Williams (American Baptist minister, NY, 1804–1885).  Includes long note on the first tome written by Williams about Fromey's life and Protestant thought.  Williams describes how Fromey's experience has the children of religious refugees influenced his thought.  Williams was one of the founders of the ABHS.
