Armorial bookplates of Harryson Caird (Scottish peerage). Also includes the partially removed bookplate of Le Comte de Carburi (of Venice) with motto,"Pleraque videntur." Marco Carburi (1731-1808) was a chemistry professor at the Studio Patavino in Padua. He wrote on minerology, metallurgy and chemistry. Cfr. DBI, 19, Roma 1976, pp. 723-72.
