The Boy Allies series was based on the struggles of two young heroes during WWI. The adventures of Chester Crawford and Hal Paine were based on adventures in the land theater of the war. Jack Templeton and Frank Chadwick were featured as the heroes of the sea adventures, written by Ensign Robert Drake.
